What do you like best about the leadership team?
Always working hard to meet the needs of employees
Transparency and communication with the company as a whole. They take time to look inward at the company to make sure our house is in order, while also working tirelessly to make strategic goals that make Invitae successful and competitive.
Bold vision, commitment to transparency, and the right balance between a true sense of urgency and work/life balance.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Not lying to employees and gas lighting them about company's mission
Management is terrible and employees constantly tell on each other.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Everything is great in benefits
401k matching and financial planning services.
Very good especially considering economy
Salary and bonus structure is excellent
Stock options, health/dental plans, and unlimited A/L.

Incredible intensity combined with impressive humility. It's a hard balance for find. I am proud (and humbled) to be on this team.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Communication & collaboration were lost in layoffs
Colleagues need to stop anonimously telling and slandering their fellow employees, which management encourages in this company

New management and get rid of system that allows employees to tell on each other.

Asking questions from the team
Very particular and ensures employee retention
I got to speak to most of my team members, and there was equal time to ask questions in addition to describing why I was the top candidate.

We're saving lives. Every day. Vastly broader access to high quality genetic testing is a game-changer for our patients.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Massive tech debt & lack of hands
They need to stop dreaming so big. We've reached a point where our product is not sellable, but rather is only marketable to hospitals. We haven't lobbied congress to make the tests covered under insurance, and no one wants to pay for them.
Technologies used for placing orders constantly go down.
