What is the best part about your compensation package?
Vacation time and benefits are great
Company Equity is a great incentive. Insurance benefits are very good as well as generous vacation/sick time.
The base salary is the best part for me.
Stock options start vesting relatively quickly.
I really appreciate our new maternal/paternal paid leave policy, which is great for a startup. It shows that Jackpocket cares about the team professionally and personally.

Most are really hard working and great people
All very talented people. Small team and each person is capable of multiple roles.
The people are nice, reasonable, talented, and a pleasure to work with and learn from.
Everyone is very smart and hardworking. At the same time everyone is easy to talk to and we can have fun discussions both work related and non-work related.

Everyone is a hard worker in addition to being a great team member. This means you can expect great work, collaboration, and support.
Mistakes are allowed and you're encouraged to learn from them and do better next time.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Multiple meetings with different groups.
My interviewers asked more real world questions to test my knowledge vs. typical coding algorithm questions that do not always translate to actual work that is done during the job.
The interview questions went right to the heart of what I would be working on every day, so there was no sense of artificiality in difficulty or worthwhileness.
Good communication on status of my application.
You meet all the people you will be directly working with but also the CEO! How many companies can say that you'll chat with the CEO before getting hired? I love that he personally signs off on every hire.
What makes you most happy at work?
Maybelle. Lunch outings. Technically challenging work.
Interacting with my coworkers, working together toward a common goal and also just hanging out with them in general.
Working on a new feature that our users can get their hands on and enjoy.
Getting to play with our office dog.
Working on projects I am excited about seeing existing in the real world.
