Anand Athreya — Executive VP & Chief Development Officer at Juniper Networks

Mr. Anand Athreya, also known as Andy, has been an Executive Vice President of Juniper Networks, Inc. since August 25, 2017. Mr. Athreya has been the Chief Development Officer at Juniper Networks, Inc. since March 7, 2017 and served as its Senior Vice President since March 7, 2017 until August 25, 2017. Mr. Athreya served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Juniper Networks, Inc. until March 7, 2017. He served as Senior Vice President of Routing Business Unit & Junos Engineering at Juniper Networks, Inc. Mr. Athreya was responsible for Juniper's portfolio of routing products from core and edge to aggregation and access. He also oversees initiatives that are transforming Juniper's R&D and test environments. Since joining Juniper Networks in 2004, he has held various leadership positions within the Internet and Security Products groups and served as Vice President of Engineering for the Branch Services Business Unit. He has consistently delivered successful products to market for Juniper customers, including J-Series, Junos Security Software, Branch SRX, MX, PTX and ACX Systems and has been instrumental in securing key customer wins around the globe. Mr. Athreya joined Juniper from Procket Networks, where he served as Director of Software Engineering. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Engineering at Malibu Networks, Assistant Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Tiara Networks and held management roles at Novell. Mr. Athreya received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University and an MBA from National University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds several networking-related patents.
