We get a lot of benefits that i think it would be difficult to get somewhere else.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I was the lowest paid Assistant Manager in my district. Was never appreciated on the work I did managing the store on my own with no manager for almost a year. I was over looked when it came to being a store manager.

Our store manager makes sure to under schedule 80% of the staff so they do not have to give us any benefits. Even though I have open availability, I will forever be part-time with the way she schedules people.
I feel like the workers are just a little underpaid for what we do and how long we are there. I also feel like the discount only being on full price items doesn't make sense
What are some of the best things about your team?
The solidarity felt between us and the upper management.

The team that I had where all hired by me or my team. Most of them left or was let go by the new manager for the fear of "corrupted minds".

Some are pretty young and don't take the job seriously

The most positive thing about our work environment is that everyone collectively hates the same people and we can all sympathize with how much we struggle working for this company.
The environment really brings people in and makes them want to shop. If you're having a bad day and go in there, there are also people who are your friends that you can talk to

no humor or fun, everyone is very sober- no one smiles
What did you like most about the interview process?
they are not intimidating instead very supportive

She told me they pay $12.50 per hour and I could start tomorrow.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I checked the Better Business Bureau website on the company and they refuse to change shipping companies despite many candles coming broken and high-pressure cans coming dented. The only resolution they offer is store credits and gift cards. All under the value of the initial sale.
Red tape culture, micro-managed, Old-fashioned, not with the times. I have worked here for 6 months in Mast IT and there is no work/life balance. The organization does not believe in work from home and there is no flexibility. It is a culture of old men who favor men and only men are truly valued.
I just don't see much room for advancement where I'm at now.
