What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Listening to subject matter experts within the organization, recognizing top talent that remains, creating real and meaningful plans, and practicing humility instead of talking about it.

From my vantage point, there is far too much regulation and far too little leadership. The CEO is tremendously under qualified for this role.

Thinking in practical business terms

Enterprise business experience and strong business advisors around each business unit. Board of Trustees must appoint seasoned executives.

Be more of a team player

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

Getting decent raises that go along with the cost of living in the US Better vacation time More retirement compensation

Lifeway continues to cut human capital and demand the same production with less people.

Too many benefits taken away during difficult years. None given back.

Many of us work 60-80 hours a week because we are understaffed, nor have we had our compensation positively adjusted in over three years.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Increased planning, communication and budget.

It would be nice if they were more mature

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

There are token and frivolous attempts made at cultivating culture, none of which recognize the true issues at play. They only serve as games to avoid dealing with complex issues.

To have a healthy culture, you have to put your people first. We don't do that. We put the whims of the CEO first.

Replace executive leadership team. There is no accountability for consistently poor executive decisions. Senior leaders and management are kept at arms length from executives who are disconnected from each business unit. Hidden cost of ELT distrust impacts culture daily.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Need leaders with more business sense

Our leaders need to humble themselves, and stop using the pandemic as cover for their shortcomings. We need to increase our staff and properly fund the most important work we do.

Board of Trustees are entirely disconnected from the business of LifeWay, partially due to misleading positive narratives of conditions by ELT. Trustees need to spend time AT THE BUSINESS instead of receiving misleading presentations. External audit of Trustees/ELT by Directors for 360-feedback.
