He served as the Vice Chairman of Supervisory Board at Fonciere Des Murs. He serves as a Director of Beni Stabili SIIQ S.p.A., Delfin S.a.r.l., GIVI Holding S.p.A. and Gianni Versace S.p.A. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Fonciere Des Murs. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board at Fonciere des Regions. He served as a Director of Assicurazioni Generali SpA from April 2007 to February 2011. In 1986, he was named a Cavaliere del Lavoro. Dr. Del Vecchio has earned a number of awards for his activity, including honorary degrees in Business Management from the Ca' Foscari University, Venice in 1995, Management Engineering from the University of Udine in 2002 and Materials Engineering from the Milan Politecnico in 2006, as well as Honorary Master in International Economics from the MIB - School of Management of Trieste in 1999.
