Mr. Steve Girard serves as Regional President of Southeast Region at Markel Corp. Mr. Girard served as Executive Vice President of Southeast Regional Operations at Markel Corp. Mr. Girard oversaw the Southeast regional operation which is headquartered in Richmond, Va. He joined Markel in 2008 as managing director of production and underwriting, southeast region. Prior to joining Markel, Mr. Girard served as senior vice president, branch manager for Willis Re in their Atlanta office for six years. His prior experience also includes senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for Berkley Underwriting Partners.
