What do you like best about the leadership team?
Approachability of senior leadership team
The executive team is transparent and represent the Markel Style.
Very exciting and good management skills
Competent, experienced and down to earth. Real people who understand the business, generally not many who have been promoted for time served with the business (UK).
They seem to want what's best for the company

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Long term orientation aligns with company approach
Compensation is fair for the roles.
The bonus is the best part
Stock package is very good.
Very competitive but sensible bonus structure in comparison to other Insurers and brokerages I have worked for previously. Allowances also reflect the true cost to the employee - not stuck in 1999.

Closeness of relationships; like a family
The team is well wualified with a diverse range of experience.
Everyone is very friendly and willing to help.
Friendly, professional and willing to help. Willing to have a good time with colleagues as well as work hard. Generally positive people.

Commitment to respecting every person, regardless of role
There is free parking and in a safe location.
Flexible working arrangements - not presentee-ism. Trust you to get on with the job and leave you to it - just be expected to stand next to the results through the year!
