Stephen Green — Executive Vice President of Legal and Corporate Secretary at Markit

Mr. Stephen Green, also known as Steve, has been Executive Vice President of Legal and Corporate Secretary at IHS Markit Ltd., since April 2012. Mr. Green is responsible for IHS legal guidance and counsel including mergers and acquisitions as well as legal and regulatory compliance. He served as Senior Vice President of IHS Inc. since December 2003 until March 2012 and General Counsel since 1996 until March 2012. Previously, he served as Vice President of IHS from 1996 to 2003. He joined the Legal Department of IHS parent corporation (TBG Holdings N.V.) in 1981 and became Chief Legal Officer for IHS in 1996. Prior to joining IHS, he worked in various capacities in the New York legal community, including a Law Clerkship for a New York State Supreme Court Judge. Prior to the clerkship, he served as an Associate in the Corporate department of Kelley, Drye & Warren, a large New York City law firm whose corporate practice included acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, financings and other corporate legal matters. Prior to 1997, he was Assistant General Counsel with TBG Services Inc. and affiliated companies. He served as a Director of IHS Inc. since July 12, 2016. He served as Director of PartMiner WorldWide Inc. Mr. Green holds a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School.
