Matillion Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I like the equity opportunity as well as the commission opportunities.

Review from Sales Dept

Having a salary and options.

Review from Marketing Dept

PTO to help balance work & life priorities.

Review from Marketing Dept

The aggregation of benefits, cannot call a specific one out

Review from IT Dept

Our generous allotment of vacation time

Review from Sales Dept

competitive salary, bonus and options

Review from Product Dept

Salary is very competitive and the PTO package is the best I've ever seen (25 days off after 1 year of being at Matillion).

Review from Marketing Dept

Quota's being lowered - it's taking a lot longer to build a healthy pipeline then at previous companies.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel that my base pay is within market rates.

Review from Engineering Dept

The salary and share scheme

Review from Engineering Dept

I like the holiday allowance going to 30 days after 1 year. I really appreciate having the hackdays as a way to explore new ideas and practice new skills.

Review from Product Dept

Equity, fair comp plan, paid market rate (salary/OTE)

Review from Sales Dept

E-vehicle salary sacrifice scheme is great.

Review from Engineering Dept

base salary is the best part

not applicable to me .

Review from Engineering Dept

Great Health Insurance plan, EV car scheme

Review from Sales Dept

30 days holiday after 1 year's service

Review from Engineering Dept

Compensation is incredibly fair, and along with the other benefits - incredibly competitive.

Review from Product Dept

It's balanced and well thought out

Review from Product Dept

Salary is good and vacation is excellent.

Review from Product Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Paid fairly, based on performance and contribution.

Review from Marketing Dept

Current base salary is less than what is offered for someone at my level in my market. PTO/Holidays favor EMEA/ROW.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel like our compensation needs to work to keep up with inflation. I'd rather we retain good, productive employees than lose them to higher-paying competition.

Review from Sales Dept

Not in line with living wage rises, yet, also commission not as favourable as other SaaS orgs

Review from Sales Dept

I am still making less than people that joined the business recently

Review from Marketing Dept

annual salary increments to help with retention and company performance bonus for all roles., too much emphasis on equity and less tenured Matillioners do not benefit as much, it's not equal

Review from Product Dept

I am in conversations with my manager for a promotion and a raise, and I hope that as those conversations progress that I am compensated at the same level as my peers.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel given the level of responsibility in my role, this is not fairly reflected in my pay - whilst I would say the role is paid well for the role it is, in comparison to other roles I am aware of, I am paid less for more responsibility and accountability

Review from HR Dept

As a placement student I feel like the salary potentially needs a review based on workload / competitors ?

Review from HR Dept

Yes. Other people in the same role as me, performing at the same level but paid more. See other employees getting promotions, bonuses etc and yet no budget for our team to get the appropriate compensation for the work we do

Review from Operations Dept

Knowing I am underpaid for the market, with no explanation why, is tough to swallow. Having asked repeatedly with no answer is disappointing.

Review from HR Dept

understanding and recognition for the amount of work and effort gone into this year

Review from HR Dept

It feels like no matter how hard and fast you work, it's simply not good enough and you have to keep "sprinting" to keep up with all the demands and requests. A salary increase, a proper equity plan, full health coverage, and a pension plan. The last three have not been fully delivered yet.

Review from IT Dept

Benefits (pension, health insurance, equity) are not yet provided to employees based outside the UK (and maybe the US), despite being "promised" on the job description and at the interview. It is a known issue and no offer of mitigation while sorting the benefits out has been offered

Review from Engineering Dept

I believe the executive team is making the right corrections/changes to ensure that the sales employees have a fair chance to make close to OTE in H2 - however, the goals and directives in H1 were unattainable and absent.

Review from Sales Dept

No time for development, no promotion opportunity even though I have been suceeding in delivering results in the area of the role I should be in I'm being swamped with work at a lower level so much and I have zero support so who else will do these tasks if I don't. We need more resources.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel this way because I'm someone who looks out at the market, interviews, and gets offers from other tech companies for roles similar to mine! This is a result of getting in at Matillion at a lower salary and while there's been a few adjustments - nothing of real substance.

Regular pay reviews. Transparency with rating system.

Review from Product Dept

Management team should evaluate the inflation in current cost of living and come up with a fair yearly increase based on merit or cost of living.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Matillion tries to understand if they pay us fairly by comparing our salaries against other companies of a similar size to us. The problem is that it doesn't make sense. I won't "go" to a "similarly sized" company if I decide to leave, smaller and bigger companies offer significantly more money now
