i put in many years i put into this company and the person who just worked there for under a year gets paid the same amount

Workload/Type of work does equate to current pay. Feel appreciated in every other sense other than pay.

A brand new employee is often paid more than someone who has been at the company for years. You need to actively make requests to get compensated fairly. Years of service and past accomplishments don't seem to matter. If that was considered and pay raises were provided morale would be higher.
