Shannon M. Werb — President of Virtual Radiologic Corporation & COO of Virtual Radiologic Corporation at Mednax

Mr. Shannon M. Werb has been the President of Virtual Radiologic Corporation since December 1, 2016. Mr. Werb has been Chief Operating Officer of Virtual Radiologic Corporation since January 2016 and served as its Chief Information Officer since September 17, 2013. Mr. Werb oversee all of vRad's IT operations and additionally work with vRad's hospital and radiology group clients to develop innovative ways to leverage data and technology to improve patient care and operational efficiency in an era of outcomes-driven healthcare. Mr. Werb served s the Chief Strategy Officer of Acuo Technologies (Pty) Ltd., since August 2011. Mr. Werb served as Chief Operating Officer at Acuo Technologies, LLC since June 2005 and served as its Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Werb served as the President of Acuo Technologies, LLC since June 2005. Mr. Werb served as Chief Technical Officer of Acuo Technologies, LLC since June 2005. He was a Director of Product Development of Acuo Technologies, LLC and responsible for new product design, quality control and market rollout. From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Werb served as Director of Information Technology for Suburban Radiologic Consultants, Ltd., a large Minneapolis-based private radiology group operating five independent imaging centers and providing professional services to six area hospitals in the Twin Cities. He joined Acuo Technologies in 2001, initially as a Product Manager. In 1997, Suburban Radiologic Consultants formed MediLinks.net and Mr. Werb served as its Vice President of Technology and Chief Operating Officer, as well as serving on its Board of Directors. He is a recognized healthcare IT authority, advisor and evangelist. He has extensive experience leading organizations and successfully developing enterprise solutions to deliver data to medical personnel faster and more cost effectively, resulting in improved clinical processes and an overall better patient experience. He has authored numerous whitepapers and journal publications on subjects including vendor-neutral archiving, next-generation PACS, cloud-based solutions and enterprise content management. Along with developing the overall vision, he led the strategic initiatives for product marketing, sales and positioning. These initiatives resulted in many awards for innovation, product acceptance and market share leadership, including KLAS's VNA Market Leadership in the United Kingdom (2013) and Frost & Sullivan's 2012 Market Leadership Award.
