He served as President of Medtronic ATS Medical, Inc. since August 12, 2010. From 1994 to 2007, he was employed at St. Jude Medical, Inc. From February 2001 to July 01, 2007, Mr. Coyle served as the President of Cardiac Rhythm Management at St. Jude Medical Inc. He joined St. Jude Medical, Inc. in 1994 as Director of Business Development and served as its President of Daig Catheter Division since January 1997. Prior to that, Mr. Coyle was employed at Eli Lilly and Company, where he held many roles in both its Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Divisions, including Marketing Manager-Diabetes Care Products, Business Development Associate and Manager-Medical Devices & Diagnostics Division, Biomedical Research Engineer-Toxicology Division and Process Design Engineer-Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. He served as a Director at VNUS Medical Technologies, Inc. since July 2005. He served as a Director at Volcano Corporation from April 2009 to August 1, 2012. Mr. Coyle holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
