
Named a designated facility by the Association of Child Life Professional Accreditation, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital offers students opportunities to learn about the roles and functions of Child Life Specialists. Our Child Life Internship and Practicum Programs enable students to observe and perform a variety of Child Life services, all under the supervision of certified Child Life Specialists.
To those purposes, the programs afford students with the opportunity to experience a variety of patient and family issues, to take advantage of regular educational sessions, and to engage in ongoing discussion of the student experience.
Submitting a completed application does not guarantee an interview or acceptance. Each application will be reviewed to determine if the applicant meets all the requirements. The most qualified applicants will be offered interviews. Phone or video interviews are offered for those outside a 300 mile radius. Selected students will be required to work the schedule of their supervisor.
