He served as the Chief Financial Officer of easyJet plc since July 1, 2010 until October 2015. Mr. Kennedy served Group Finance Director at easyJet plc since July 1, 2010 and an Executive Director from February 7, 2011 to September 01, 2015. He served as the Chief Finance Officer, EMI Music of EMI Group Limited (now Maltby Capital Limited) since April 2008. He served as President of Corporate Development and Chief Investment Officer of EMI Music since May 2009. Mr. Kennedy was responsible for the finance operations of the EMI group's 21 companies in continental Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as the regional finance team at EMI Music Continental Europe's headquarters in London. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for EMI Music International from February 2007 to April 2008. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Finance Officer of EMI Music Continental Europe of EMI Group Limited since November 24, 2004 and served as its Chief Operating Officer since 2006. Mr. Kennedy first joined EMI in 1993 as Business Support Manager for the EMI Records UK label. After spending two years in New York as Director, Business Development from 1995 to 1997, he returned to EMI Records in the UK as Finance Director and served as its Chief Financial Officer since 2002 when the division was expanded to include both the Capitol and Virgin label groups. He has been Independent Non-Executive Director of Whitbread PLC since March 1, 2016. He serves as Director of ARM Holdings plc. He has been Director of ARM Limited since September 1, 2015. Mr. Kennedy holds Graduation in Engineering from Cambridge University.
