Mr. Christopher Brian Livesey, also known as Chris, serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Application Modernization & Connectivity Product Group at Micro Focus International plc. Mr. Livesey 25 years' experience in the software industry, having held several senior sales and marketing leadership positions in global companies such as IBM, Rational Software and Softlab Limited. Mr. Livesey served as Vice President of Sales for AMQ - EMEA and Latin America at Micro Focus International plc since January 2011. Mr. Livesey started his 17 years in the IT and software industry as a software developer and architect and combines deep expertise in software specification, design and continuous quality improvement with more than 10 years of software solution sales leadership. He joined Micro Focus from IBM, where he held several senior management positions including heading IBM's Northern European Rational Software business; leading IBM's UK, Ireland and South Africa Information Management software business during the acquisitions of Ascential, Filenet and Cognos; and as Sales Director for IBM in Scotland. He joined IBM through its acquisition of Rational Software Corporation where during his seven-year tenure he performed a variety of technical and sales management roles. Mr. Livesey holds BSc (Hons) in Statistics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow.
