Juan Pablo “JP” Carriedo is the Chief Executive Officer at Monex USA where he leads the company to be the best-in-class global payment solutions provider. Prior to being named CEO, JP served as Chief Financial Officer of Banco Monex in Mexico City, the parent company of Monex USA. Previously, he served as Operations Vice Chairman at CONSAR, Mexico’s national pension fund system regulator, where he devised and negotiated the passing of regulations to ensure the overall wellbeing and smooth functioning of country’s retirement system. JP also supervised and regulated first tier banks while at CNBV (National Banking and Securities Commission) where he worked in different entities and capacities of increasing responsibility. He started his career with Finamex, a brokerage house, at a time when markets spurred as state-owned utilities and banks were returning to private sector. JP also worked for Banco del Atlántico’s asset trading unit when it was newly privatized. JP graduated with a degree in Business from ITAM and received his MBA at the University of Michigan.
