Richard Kreuter — Senior Vice President of Field Engineering at MongoDB, Inc.

Mr. Richard Kreuter has been Senior Vice President of Field Engineering at MongoDB, Inc. since September 13, 2017. Mr. Kreuter served as Vice President of Field Engineering at MongoDB, Inc. since February 15, 2017 until September 13, 2017 and also served as its Vice President of Global Professional Services since May 2015. Mr. Kreuter joined MongoDB in 2010 as a Member of the core engineering team. Building out MongoDB's global consulting practices and products, he has helped hundreds of customers optimize MongoDB for scale and performance. He served as Global Director of Consulting Services at MongoDB, Inc. from November 2014 to April 2015 and its Director of Consulting Engineering (North America) from April 2014 to October 2014 and also its Consulting Manager from January 2013 to April 2014. He served as Lead Consulting Engineer at 10gen, Inc from June 2012 to January 2013 and its Software Engineer from January 2010 to June 2012. He was SBCL Hacker (contract work) at ITA Software from June 2008 to November 2008. Mr. Kreuter was Bioinformatics Analyst at Cornell University (Dept. of Plant Breeding & Genetics) from May 2005 to July 2007. He served as System Administrator (part time) at Okuili Associates from July 2003 to April 2005. He served as System Administrator at Rutgers University (Chemistry Department) from February 2002 to May 2003 and Junior System Administrator at Rutgers University (Statistics Department) from May 2001 to February 2002. His engineering experience prior to MongoDB includes a stint at ITA Software (acquired by Google) as well various other software development roles in bioinformatics, open source, web development and operating systems. Mr. Kreuter has BA in Philosophy and Mathematics from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 2000 and AA and AS in Philosophy and Mathematics from Rowan College at Burlington County in 1998.
