Ms. Michelle Pearlman has been Executive Vice President of eCommerce and Chief Marketing Officer at New York & Company Inc. since November 7, 2016. Ms. Pearlman served as a Senior Advisor at Irving Place Capital. She focused on the retail and consumer sector. Ms. Pearlman was responsible for Irving Place Capital's portfolio companies to help them with their consumer marketing, retail operations, direct-to-consumer strategies, merchandising, e-commerce, retailing and digital and social media strategies. Prior to Irving Place Capital in 2011, she served as the President of Jewelry Business Unit and Senior Vice President of Sears Holdings Corporation since September 2008. Ms. Pearlman served as an Executive Vice President of ATC Direct at Ann Taylor Stores Corporation, leading the internet sales division, including AnnTaylor.com and AnnTaylorLOFT.com. She led the e-commerce merchandising, direct marketing, technology and operations and direct marketing for its Ann Taylor and Loft divisions. She joined Ann Taylor in 2004 after five years at McKinsey & Company, most recently as an Associate Principal where she managed turnaround and growth strategies with numerous retail clients. Prior to that, Ms. Pearlman started her career and spent seven years with Procter & Gamble where she served sales, brand management and customer business development roles. She served as a Director of New York & Company Inc. from May 2, 2011 to November 7, 2016. She was also named one of Crain's Chicago Business ???40 under 40??? in 2009. She has more than 20 years of experience in senior operational and management consulting roles for leading retail and consumer companies. Ms. Pearlman holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and a B.A. degree from Stanford University.
