Very. A handful of Corp employees will dictate what new equipment, set, vehicles your station will be getting. Forget about planning next year's capital projects, it's been decided for you!

Coworkers are the best! Bear in mind, to many of us, we were already a great group before we were bought by them. Being bought by them had initially made for a lot of tension or uneasiness. Be prepared to not get a raise.

8 hrs a day but I'm now doing the duties that were once held by four people for the same salary.

EVERYONE is seeking other employment.. if that says anything.

We all love our co-workers and want what is best for them but Nexstar is not it. Unfortunately our station will suffer with the loss because of who owns us.

It seems rather slow at times, but because of poor planning, work gets dumped on everyone and the pace gets frantic very quickly.

My department doesn't take on interns, so I can't speak to that. There are a few departments that do, though.

It probably depends on whether you're in a station or at the corporate offices and, if the former, how large a market you're in. At my station, given its size, there's no growth opportunities. If you're in news, you can move to a larger market to expand your career, but otherwise, what you see is what you get.

Not at all. We are not appreciated or valued by Nexstar and they will fire you without any reason. The directors are great but they always say their hands are tied

How bad Nexstar controls the stations without knowing anything about how they need to operate and their pay scale is terrible for the amount of work your expected to do
