He has extensive technology leadership and development experience, both as a SaaS software CTO and as a financial services technology executive. Phil comes to Nextiva from Pegasus Solutions, where he led product development as well as technology. He was formerly the global CTO of American Express. Phil holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Maryland. As an active member of the Apache Software Foundation, he has served in numerous volunteer roles, including as a Director and Chairman of the ASF Board of Directors.
