Anat Hakim — Senior VP, General Counsel & Secretary at WellCare Health Plans

Ms. Anat Hakim has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. since September 26, 2016. Ms. Hakim is responsible for leading the WellCare's legal department. She served as Divisional Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Litigation for Abbott Laboratories, a global diagnostics, medical device, nutrition and branded generic pharmaceuticals manufacturer. In this role, she had oversight of Abbott Laboratories' commercial litigation; intellectual property litigation; government investigations; compliance internal investigations and remediation; and labor and employment counseling. Prior to joining Abbott, she spent 12 years with Foley & Lardner, LLP, an international law firm, including eight years as an equity partner, where she focused on patent, trademark, trade secret and complex commercial lawsuits. Before joining Foley & Lardner, she served as an associate with the law firm Latham & Watkins for five years. Ms. Hakim holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from Harvard University.
