Executive Bio
Mr. Michael C. Yount has been Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of WellCare Health Plans, Inc., and Missouri Care, Inc. since April 2014. Mr. Yount leads and directs the its corporate compliance and ethics program and oversees WellCare Health Plans's compliance with the laws and regulatory requirements applicable to WellCare Health and all of its divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates. Mr. Yount served as an Interim Chief Human Resources Officer of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. since August 22, 2016. He joined WellCare in 2011 and served as its Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to joining WellCare, he spent nine years with Rite Aid Corporation, first as government affairs attorney, then as Director of Government Affairs and ultimately as Vice President of Regulatory Law & Compliance Monitoring and Privacy Officer. Prior to joining Rite Aid, he was an Attorney with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Law degree, both from Ohio Northern University. He is admitted to the bars in Illinois and New Jersey and is a registered pharmacist in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
