Unfortunately, my coworker's attitudes are caught up in the toxic "blame game" environment that affects productivity. Real team support driven my truly investing in their worth would help start to improve a better team atmosphere.
Present the truth of what the employee will truly encounter. Quite honestly, you're told several untruths to get you to go to work for them, but they simply don't deliver. It feels like you're buying a used car from an irreputable salesman.
Spend much more time involved with the individuals he manages. He spends most of his time playing to upper management in order to continually boost the perception that he is a stellar employee and manager. He should be much less pretentious and more focused on how he can better support his team.
