His Excellency Walid Abukhaled has been the Chief Executive of Middle East at Northrop Grumman Corporation since 2016. H.E. Abukhaled served as the Chief Executive of Saudi Arabia at Northrop Grumman Corporation since January 1, 2014. H.E. Abukhaled was Deputy Minister for Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in Riyadh. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Saudi Arabia & Bahrain at General Electric Company since April 2011. He was responsible for leading General Electric's operations in the two kingdoms, accelerating the growth and exploring further opportunities for broadening public private partnerships. Before joining GE, H.E. Abukhaled worked for BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia in a career that spanned more than 20 years and was most recently Director of portfolio management. In this position, he was posted to the U.K. for two years to develop strategies for growth and inward investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia. H.E. Abukhaled served as the Chairman of Saudi Arabia Operations Board of BAE Systems. He began his career in 1990 as a graduate Engineer at BAE and has held a variety of technical support, field operations, Communications, sales marketing, strategy and various executive positions within the Middle East Europe.
