Stop being defensive, start being more engaged in the quality of your work, and don't view help from others as a threat to your standing, some of us just want to help the company be better, not make you look bad, but many of the long time employees feel threatened by new ideas or identified gaps.

To start being proactive of their knowledge in their positions. If you don't know something then by al means do ask and I am happy to help but asking me the same questions day after day week after week gets exhausting. Write it down and keep it somewhere you can refer to when needed.

In my department , there are only 3 staff. The line manager, his daughter and my self. The line manager is a high tech bully. There is no Nu Skin way, but all his and his daughters way. They will back each other and turn everything as per their interest. Employee turn over is high in this dept.
