She has been very instrumental in many key initiatives for Valero Energy Corp. over the last 13 years, during her tenure with Valero and with a San Antonio public relations & marketing firm. Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at NuStar GP LLC (formerly, Valero GP LLC), General Partner of NuStar Energy L.P. from April 26, 2007 to April 2008. She joined Valero in 1997 as Vice President of Public Relations and promoted to Vice President of Corporate Communications and named an officer of Valero Energy Corp. Previously, she served as Vice President of Public Relations at Atkins Agency. During her 14 years with Atkins, she directed public relations campaigns for a wide variety of clients, including the City of San Antonio and Valero. She serves as a Trustee of Center for Health Care Services of San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Brown holds a bachelor's Degree in Communications from Southwest Texas State University.
