Mr. Thomas B. Nusz, also known as Tommy, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oasis Petroleum Inc. since March 2007 and served as its President until January 1, 2014. Mr. Nusz has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. From April 2006 to February 2007, Mr. Nusz managed his personal investments, developed the business plan for Oasis Petroleum LLC and secured funding for it. He served as Vice President of Burlington Resources, Inc. from 1998 to 2004. He served as Vice President of International Division (North Africa, Northwest Europe, Latin America and China) of Burlington from January 2004 to March 2006, Vice President of Acquisitions & Divestitures from October 2000 to December 2003, as Vice President of Strategic Planning & Engineering from July 1998 to September 2000 and Chief Engineer for substantially all of such period. He served as Head of Business Development and Strategic Planning departments at Burlington. He was instrumental in Burlington's expansion into the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin from 1999 to 2002. From September 1985 to June 1998, Mr. Nusz held various operations and managerial positions with Burlington in several regions of the United States, including the Permian Basin, the San Juan Basin, the Black Warrior Basin, the Anadarko Basin, onshore Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of OMP GP LLC, General Partner of Oasis Midstream Partners LP. Mr. Nusz has been a Director of Oasis Petroleum Inc., since March 2007. Mr. Nusz served as an Engineer with Mobil Oil Corporation and for Superior Oil Company from June 1982 to August 1985. Mr. Nusz chaired the supply task group at the National Petroleum Council for the widely publicized study on natural gas, Meeting the Challenges of the Nation's Growing Natural Gas Demand and was a Primary Spokesman for the report. He is a Member of the National Petroleum Council. He is a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In 2002, he was named a Distinguished Fellow of the College of Engineering at Mississippi State University. Mr. Nusz holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1982.
