One Medical Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Excellent PTO offerings including great parental leave

PTO annual increase with more years with company

Our comp used to be poor, compared to industry standard. The company made significant positive changes this year, however. Our benefits improved significantly and our compensation is commensurate with experience. Starting out, it's still lower than standard but long-term employees are rewarded.

Review from Operations Dept

Our benefits package is fantastic - One Medical covers nearly 90% of insurance costs, and the coverage we receive is phenomenal. Paying ~$25 every other week for commercial medical/dental/vision coverage with a top insurer with one of the biggest networks in the nation is insanely competitive.

Review from Operations Dept

Fair pay based on experience, commercial medical/dental/vision benefits, 401k match, equity after 3 years

Good mix of solid cash base and comprehensive benefits. Also eligible for equity regardless of role after 3 years with the company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

NP compensation is laughable to insulting when they sell you on the work life balance but then you realize the MDs are doing the same work and getting paid almost double.

More flexible PTO, better equity comp

I left for an offer that was $40k higher than my salary at OM. I did not just feel under valued, I was undervalued. Too many hours and not enough actual compensation. I did not need to hear from HR how good the medical benefits were, I needed actual cash I could use to live and eat.

I feel like there keeps being additional work expected in a way that is unfair to clinical staff without increased compensation

For the work, I believe we should be compensated more. The price of living in the Bay Area should also be taken into account.

Review from Operations Dept

it feels like they pay "admins" less than what they should get paid considering everything admins do
