Executive Bio
Mr. Frank L. Culbertson, Jr. has been Executive Vice President and President of Space Systems Group at Orbital ATK, Inc. since February 9, 2015. Mr. Culbertson served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Programs Group at Orbital Sciences Corp since September 2012. He served as Senior Vice President of Advanced Programs Group for Orbital Sciences Corp. since August 2008 and served as its Deputy General Manager of Human Space Programs. He served as Deputy General Manager of Advanced Programs Group for Orbital Sciences Corp. since August 2008. Mr. Culbertson is responsible for Orbital's human spaceflight programs, including commercial transportation services to the International Space Station and the Orion launch abort system. He served as Senior Vice President of Science Applications International Corporation. He was a naval aviator, a fighter pilot and a test pilot and he retired from the Navy as a Captain in 1997. Mr. Culbertson has received numerous honors, including the Legion of Merit, the Navy Flying Cross, the Defense Superior Service Medal, the NAA/FAI Gagarin Gold Medal and the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. Mr. Culbertson is a 1971 graduate of the US Naval Academy at Annapolis.
