Mr. Harold R. Carpenter, Jr., has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Pinnacle National Bank and Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. since 2000. Mr. Carpenter serves as the Principal Accounting Officer of Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. He served as Senior Vice President of Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. and Pinnacle National Bank. Mr. Carpenter served at AmSouth Bancorporation from 1999 to 2000 as a Senior Vice President in the finance group in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to the merger with AmSouth, Mr. Carpenter was employed by First American National Bank as Senior Vice President from 1994 to 1999 and served as Financial Manager for the Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana areas. His previous experience includes work in Shreveport, La. for Commerce National Corporation as Controller and KPMG Peat Marwick as Senior Manager. Mr. Carpenter joined First American in 1998 during its merger with Jackson, Miss.-based Deposit Guaranty Corporation, where he had served for three years as chief financial manager of it's business units. Mr. Carpenter was employed by the national accounting firm, KPMG LLP, from 1982 to 1994. Mr. Carpenter holds a bachelor's degree and a master's of business administration in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University. Mr. Carpenter is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
