Mr. Peter James Alexander, BBus, MBA, serves as Managing Director of New Zealand, Managing Director of Australia, Vice President of Australia and Vice President of New Zealand at Polaris Industries Inc. Mr. Alexander served as General Manager of Polaris Australia at Polaris Industries Inc since April 2007. Mr. Alexander joined Polaris in 2004. During his time at Polaris, he has developed an energized and focused team, dramatically improved his territory's dealer network, brand position, market share and profitability of Polaris' business. He has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. Starting his career as an apprentice motor mechanic, he transitioned his career through MYER into Finance and Accounting roles and then went on to IVECO. He developed into roles such as National Sales and Marketing Manager. He was recruited to Subaru Australia holding several positions including General Manager of Marketing - Retail and playing a substantial role in that brand's success and a key role in Subaru's Industry leading changes to their automotive distribution channel. He was tasked with transitioning an underperforming private distributorship into a wholly-owned subsidiary. He is credited within Polaris as being responsible for making Polaris Australia and New Zealand the most successful international and highest volume Polaris business outside North America. He has a proven record for identifying business opportunities. He launched Victory Motorcycles in the Australian market with their Melbourne flagship store becoming the second highest volume dealership in the world within its first year. He served as the Chairman of Automotive Solutions Group Ltd from August 29, 2017 to October 2017. He served as Vice Chairman of Automotive Solutions Group Ltd until August 29, 2017. He served as Non-Executive Director at Automotive Solutions Group Ltd from November 9, 2016 to November 2, 2017.
