They may not pay top dollar compared to others in the industry, but the healthy culture and mental health benefits far outweigh a few more dollars. "Better is a dry morsel with quiet than a house full of feasting with strife".

Stock options, free lunch in the office
Women got paid on average 35% less than men in the same or lower position at the company. Upon being purchased by a public company, it also came to light that the CEO awarded men at the company 800-5000 more stock options than offered to the female employees. Wages are too low for living in HQ city
Most people at the company have good intentions. CEO and Chief People Officer spoiled this though by creating a gendered, barrier laden culture.
The team is diverse, intellectually curious, and incredibly supportive.

From the top down, an attitude of respect and transparency. The leaders don't step on their employees to feed their ambitions, they go out of their way to make sure their employees are successful--wise enough to realize that this is the key to their and the company's success.
It's genuine. The values are taken seriously and mean something.

People were down-to-earth, respectful. Practicing DEI not just in terms of superficial qualities, but looking for diversity in terms of things like personalities, approaches, backgrounds, philosophies.
The opportunity to meet with a number of team members, not just the immediate manager.
