He served as Senior Vice President of Westernbank Puerto Rico and W Holding Company, Inc., since October 20, 2008. He served as Senior Financial Officer of W Holding Company, Inc., and Westernbank Puerto Rico since October 20, 2008. He served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Banking & Mortgage Divisions of OFG Bancorp (alternate name, Oriental Financial Group Inc.) from October 2007 to October 14, 2008. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Doral Financial Corporation from August 19, 2005 to November 1, 2006 and its Interim Chief Financial Officer from August 19, 2005 to March 29, 2006, Risk Management Director since January 2005. He served as the President of Doral Money, a New York based subsidiary of Doral Bank. Before joining Doral Financial, he served as Vice President in charge of the Mortgage Division of Citibank Puerto Rico. He has been a Director of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and Popular Community Bank since October 2014. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed investment advisor. Mr. Soriano holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Tulane University.
