Mr. Eduardo Gil has been President of Praxair Europe at Praxair, Inc., since 2016. Mr. Gil is responsible for the growth, profitability and return on capital of Praxair's business in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Scandinavia, Netherlands, Spain, UK and France. He joined Praxair Spain in 1981 as an Applications Engineer and served as its Specialty Gases Manager for Spain since 1983 and later Manager of the Packaged Gases Business. He served as Marketing Manager for the bulk and on-site business in Spain and became Applications Technology Manager for Europe since 1997 and Director of Marketing and Business Development for Praxair Europe since 1999. He also served as General Manager for Germany at Praxair since 2004 and Managing Director of Praxair's businesses in Germany and Benelux since 2006. He returned to Praxair Spain and Portugal as Managing Director in 2008. Mr. Gil earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Bilbao and a master's degree in Business Administration from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
