John M. Panikar — President of Praxair Asia at Praxair

Mr. John M. Panikar has been the President of Praxair Asia, Inc., since January 1, 2014. Mr. Panikar is responsible for managing Praxair's industrial gases business in Asia as well as the Middle East, reporting to Angel. He served as the President of Praxair Distribution Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair Healthcare Services, Inc. and Praxair Inc. since 2010. He was responsible for the growth and profitability of Praxair's packaged-gases business in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Panikar served as Vice President of Praxair Inc. Since 2008, he served as Vice President, Product Management and Analysis for North American Industrial Gases business unit at Praxair and also served as its Vice President of the U.S. South Region since 2009. Mr. Panikar served as the Managing Director of Praxair India Private Limited since 2004. He joined Praxair Inc. in 1991 and held a variety of assignments in operations and project management in its electronics business. From 1991 to 1999, he held various positions in Applications Engineering, Operations Management and Business Development and since 1999, he served as Asia Business Manager for electronics of Praxair Electronics SE Asia. From 2002 to 2004, he served as Business Director for Development at Praxair Asia. Mr. Panikar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester in New York. He holds a Certificate in Financial Management from the Simon School of Business.
