View ArticleIf you are having difficulty signing into your Pushpay account, there could be a few explanations. Logins can be confusing and frustrating, but rest assured that the Pushpay Login process is designed the way it is to keep your personal information safe. Read below for ways to troubleshoot the issue:
Have you created a Pushpay account?
Pushpay does not require account creation to submit a payment through the platform. If you are unable to login, it's possible your payments have been submitted as a guest- meaning the payment was not associated to an active account.
Additionally, if your organization is new to Pushpay, your account details do not carry over from an alternate system. A great way to verify if you've given through Pushpay is to search for confirmation emails that are sent following a successful payment. These emails are sent from Pushpay and not the organization you are paying.
Have you confirmed your details?
To protect your information, we require that your email address and phone number is confirmed before it can be used as a login authenticator. Your phone number must be confirmed to create an account - because of this, if you are unable to login with your email, try using your phone number in combination with your password.
Have you reset your password?
If you know you have a Pushpay account and you know your details have been confirmed, you may need to reset your password. This can be done at pushpay.com/forgotand completed through an email sent to your inbox.

When you are directed to your organization's unique giving link and you are seemingly in the process of submitting a payment - don't be alarmed asthis is intentional.
Here at Pushpay, we seek to eliminate as many roadblocks to giving as possible. Especially the typical "create an account before you can give" page. With the exception of the Pushpay app from the Apple and Google Play app stores, you shouldn't expect to have the option to create an account before a payment has been submitted. The account creation is instead an option integrated into the payment experience.

With the Pushpay platform, we made conscious choices in creating a toolto allow donors/payers to control their account details, their payments, and ultimately the responsibility to manage their own accounts.
Further, when you make a payment, there are several actions required to confirm you want to give. These were setup on purpose to limit the amount of mistakenly made transactions, yet easy enough to allow a 10-second payment experience!
When you make a payment, you are authorizing a transaction to be processed and delivered to the respective organization.
Your Organization's Admin Team is Your Best Resource.
Though Pushpay is the tool that you use to submit a payment, the funds are neverin our possession. For this reason, the best resource you have to discuss the options available for a refund is the administrative team with the organization you have paid.
After approval,a transaction with a credit or debit card is immediate. Because of this,Pushpay supportis not able to interrupt or cancel approved transactions with credit ordebit cards. Though there is a processing time of 5 business daysforACH payments, there is little intervention that Pushpay support can take once the payment has been authorized and has begun processing.
If an account has been created, you can change the settings within Pushpaysuch as your payment methods, personal information, etc. atwww.Pushpay.com/login. However you can't undo a successful donation or payment through Pushpay yourself once it's been completed. As mentioned, the administrative staff withthe organization that has been paid will be the best resource to address the process for refunds.

As with all shared accounts, it is important that you choose secure passwords and keep these and other authentication details safe.
Can I Log In With Multiple Devices?
If you want to share an existing Pushpay account, simply install the app on the new device and enter the mobile number of the registered Pushpayer.
A confirmation code will be sent to your registered mobile number, so it is important to have the original device availableduring this process. Enter the SMS confirmation code in the new device, and select a passcode. Passcodes are unique to the device, and mean you can use Pushpay from multiple devices simultaneously.
YourPushpay account can only have one phone number and one email address associated with it. Phone numbers can only be associated with one Pushpay account.
If you change your phone number or email address for any reason, it is important that you update your details.
How do I control which devices have access to my account?
You can see all thedevices that have been authenticated against your account on the security tab of your Pushpay Dashboard at Pushpay.com /pushpay/security.
From here, you can manage devices and remove access for a device, like this:
Login to yourPushpay account.
ClickSecurity on the left side menu.
Clickthe Xnext to the device that you wish to revoke access to your Pushpay account.
ClickYesto confirm this action.

Not every type of credit or debit card will scan using your device'scamera. If you are using a normally embossed landscape-mode credit or debit card, you will be able to scan your card as expected.
To use your camera to capture your card, follow these instructions:
Open the Pushpay app.
Select "more" to display additional options.
Select "payment methods."
Select "add," then choose "card."
Select "Scan your card" and hold the card so it fills the white rectangle on-screen. The sides of the rectangle will fill in with red bars when the card is recognized. The phone may vibrate to let you know it worked, and the card numbers will automatically fill in as the Card Details.
Enter your Expiration Date and Security Code/CVV code from the back of the card.
Enter a card nickname if you want to (this isoptional, but could help you recognize it in a list of payment methods, or to remind yourself which account you used).
Select Done
However, if your card fits any of the following situations, youmay have trouble scanning; you could simply add it manually.
Known Cards That Won't Scan
Clear or Semi-Clear Cards
As amazingly smart as a the modern smartphone is, it still can't replace the human ability to read numbers against clear or transparent windows.
Tall Cards/Cards in Portrait Mode
The scanning software is expecting the card to be landscape, not portrait. Unfortunately these cards don't work with the scanning feature.
Glare or Awkward Lighting
The scanning software is looking for the shadows cast by the embossed numbers, so if there is glare, excessive or dim light on the card that would cause problems.
Letters and Numbers Are Not Embossed.
The scanning software relies on the numbers being embossed. If they aren't embossed, the card can't be recognized.
Cards That Have Unusually Small Font
The camera is looking for normal sized numbers, and has trouble reading small numbers - probably a combination of the embossed shadows and the layout being unordinary.
