Delisa K. Alexander — Executive VP & Chief People Officer at Red Hat

Ms. DeLisa K. Alexander has been the Chief People Officer and Executive Vice President at Red Hat, Inc. since March 2011. Ms. Alexander served as Vice President of Human Capital at JBoss, Inc. (A Division of Red Hat). She served as Senior Vice President of People & Brand at Red Hat Inc. since November 2007 until March 2011. She served as Assistant Secretary of Red Hat Inc. She is responsible for leading Red Hat global Human Capital team, including Red Hat University College of Leadership and Management. She joined Red Hat in 2001 and served in the office of General Counsel until 2006 and also served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Red Hat. In that role, Ms. Alexander was responsible for, among other items, equity and executive compensation and employment matters. She also advised the management and board of directors on securities and corporate governance. Prior to Red Hat, she was associated with the law firm Kilpatrick Stockton where she focused on mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and licensing. She serves as Director at The Council for Entrepreneurial Development. She started her career as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable William B Chandler, Chancellor of the renowned Delaware Court of Chancery. She serves as a Director of Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Alexander graduated magna cum laude with a BBA from James Madison University, holds an MBA from University of Baltimore and earned her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from George Mason University.
