The biggest problem I have with work/life balance at Red Hat is that there is a lot of overlap between my personal and professional interests. I have to remind myself that this is a self-imposed trap. No one is making me write code or read industry news on the weekend; when I do, it's from my own choice.

Amazing! Most people fight for Open Source and freedom of Intellectual Property; yet we manage to make good money while sharing it all. We're relatively free to explore and challenge every technical aspect. There's no much politics, it's simply structured so that technically superior solutions (eventually) win.
