Mr. Timothy B. Yeaton, also known as Tim, serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Red Hat, Inc. and served as its Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Group. Mr. Yeaton served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Black Duck Software, Inc. from February 10, 2009 to December 3, 2013. He served as General Manager of Enterprise Products and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing of JBoss, Inc., where he was responsible for all worldwide marketing functions including Partner, Product and Programs Marketing and Communications. He has over 30 years of software and technology management experience. He served as Chief Marketing Officer of Dell EqualLogic, Inc. since September 2007. From March 15, 2005 to September 2007, he served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing of Red Hat, Inc. From November 2001 to March 2005, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Avaki Corporation and oversaw its overall strategic direction and business operations. Mr. Yeaton joined Avaki from Macromedia, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Server Products from March 2001 to November 2001. He served as the Dell's Vice President of the Nashua (N.H.) Design Center. From August 2000 to March 2001, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of server products at Allaire Corporation. He joined Macromedia in March of 2001, as a result of the merger with Allaire Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President of Products, with overall responsibility for its complete line of products and services. Mr. Yeaton held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Compaq's UNIX/Linux Software Division where he led its UNIX and Linux business strategies, including product planning and development, business management and marketing. His organization was responsible for the initial creation and ongoing development of the Tru64?? UNIX operating system, as well as for a range of software products and vendor partnerships in the areas of clusters, storage management, distributed computing middleware, transaction processing and system and network management. He worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for 18 years. Mr. Yeaton has been an Independent Director of Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. since July 25, 2012. He has been a Director of Actuate Corporation since January 24, 2011. He serves as a Member of the University's President Advisory Board. He serves on the Board of Directors for High Technology Council and Black Duck. He serves as a Trustee of Roger Williams University Board of Trustees. He served as a Director of Black Duck Software, Inc. He served as a Director of The Open Software Foundation, The Open Group and Avaki Corporation. In 2009, he was named one of the Most Influential People in the Open Source Industry, in a survey of executives conducted by Mindtouch. In 2010 he was appointed a China Open Source Software Promotion Union (COPU) Think Tank Advisor, a post which recognizes global thought leaders in open source software. Mr. Yeaton holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with Concentrations in Marketing and Finance from Babson College and a Bachelors of Science Degree in management from the Roger Williams University.
