Mr. John D. Schachtel has been Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Regional Management Corp. since May 2017. Mr. Schachtel has nearly 30 years of experience in consumer financial services. Mr. Schachtel served as the Chief Operating Officer of OneMain Financial Holdings, Inc. from March 2014 to 2016. Mr. Schachtel served 11 years as the Executive Vice President, Northeast & Midwest Division at OneMain Financial Holdings. Before beginning his role in the field, Mr. Schachtel started with OneMain Financial Holdings in 1987 as an Operations Director and added additional roles including Director of Field Compensation, New Branch Development and Project Management before becoming Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing in 1999. Mr. Schachtel also held various other positions at OneMain/CitiFinancial. Mr. Schachtel also worked in related roles for two years at the affiliate Travelers company. He has been Director of SilverSun Technologies, Inc. since March 27, 2017. He serves as Board member of La Casa de don Pedro. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance from New York University.
