Brian A. Goebel — Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President at Republic Services

Mr. Brian A. Goebel has been the Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Republic Services, Inc. since April 29, 2013. Mr. Goebel served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Waste Services Inc.(formerly Capital Environmental Resource Inc.), from October 1, 2003 to December 2008. He joined Republic Services, Inc. in July 2009 as Senior Director of External Reporting. He began his career in the waste industry in October 2003 with Waste Services, Inc., a publicly traded non-hazardous solid waste company with operations in the United States and Canada, where he served in positions including Senior Vice President, Controller and Acting Chief Financial Officer. He served as an Interim Chief Financial Officer of Waste Services Inc. from August 31, 2006 to March 12, 2007. Since December 1999 until joining Waste Services Inc., he held the position of Assistant Controller, ANC Rental Corporation, which owned Alamo and National Car Rental. From January 1997 to December 1999, he served as a Director of Corporate Accounting for AutoNation Inc. He spent eight years in the Business Assurance practice of Coopers & Lybrand LLP. Mr. Goebel is a Certified Public Accountant.
