Susan K. Henderson — Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President at Rite Aid

Ms. Susan K. Henderson has been the Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President of Rite Aid Corporation. since August 2011. In this position, Ms. Henderson is responsible for all aspects of corporate communications, including media relations, financial communications, issues management, associate and supplier communications as well as Rite Aid's charitable giving initiatives. Most recently, Ms. Henderson served as a Consultant for Chicago-based Gagen MacDonald, a strategy execution and employee engagement firm. Ms. Henderson served as Vice President of Communications of Harley-Davidson, Inc. from November 2008 to May 24, 2010. Ms. Henderson is a senior public relations executive and a seasoned communications & public affairs professional. She has more than 25 years of experience prior to Harley-Davidson. She served as Vice President of Corporate Communications at William Wrigley Jr. Co. since January, 2005. Ms. Henderson has extensive experience working with Fortune 500 companies in using communications to support growth and shareholder value objectives. She was principal in her own communications consulting firm, where her clients included Diageo and Gillette. She served as Vice President - Public Relations at Kohl's Department Stores and Director of Marketing Communications at Miller Brewing Company where, she served as chief spokesperson for the companies, as well as developed and led integrated corporate and marketing communications and public affairs programs. She is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, a select membership organization for senior public relations and corporate communications executives. Ms. Henderson earned a Master's Degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado.
