What do you like best about the leadership team?
Their transparency and the fact that they don't claim to know everything. I can see that they are working crazy hard and they would never ask me to do something they wouldn't do
Communication has gotten so much better. Great people.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Care about employees growth and give better feedback
Treat people like human beings instead of pawns in a game. Drop the love bombing followed by abuse.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The Base comp was good

Never been asked to take less money in exchange for shares. Solid pay, 3 weeks PTO, ability to work remote.

What are some of the best things about your team?
The best part about SamCart is the people. The team has done an amazing job hiring amazing talent and everyone is different!
Really fun young group. Everyone works hard, but we also play basketball on breaks. Love it.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Cooperate during meetings instead of having shows of ego, control and importance
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is understanding and wants to help. I could slack anyone in the company, even leadership and they would take time to support me.
Laid back, but making cool stuff and really helping people.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Take a hard look at senior management and the incredible toxicity it causes. Toxic work environments usually have toxic leaders and this place is no exception.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The behavioral interview with the stakeholders i worked with. I did feel it was long though it was about 5-6 rounds with a technical interview
I was constantly communicated with and their recruiter Freddy is amazing. He was super clear with me and made sure I was updated after each step. They've really built an amazing process, cause I have had SO MUCH WORSE.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?

What makes you most happy at work?
The people I get to work with and that I get a lot of ownership over my projects.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Most people feel like they were conned into buying a useless unhelpful course by a snake oil salesman. Maybe have a little more fifty in advertisement.
