I love what SJVC stands for, helping students, & love nearly all of my coworkers. I do not love the constant looming feeling of being fired. I have been here for 4 years and 4 months and feel no more secure than my first day. My worth is only based off of the numbers I bring in.
What makes you most happy at work?
Support, comradery, casual days, and food.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
That we are family orientated. I feel that we do a lot as a company to try to bond with each other and bond with the students. Also if I have had a personal issue I feel I could be heard out from my supervisors.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
ESD & Senior Admiss. Advisor are professional & relatable. They're available as much as possible & encouraging. Our campus president is kind, straightforward, & focused. I'm proud of our campus leadership. Only thing- is that when they are stressed it is very apparent. Which makes me feel worried.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I am happy for my pay and feel grateful. I am happy to have a walk-in that is free co pay. I do not get sick much so it is nice when things come up that I can get in and out within a reasonable amount of time.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I'm in admissions&we all get along great. Our SR Admiss. advisor is also awesome. We all are always willing to help each other in order to be available for students, prospects,&enrollments. I do feel there's some negative attitude w/financial aid though. 2 FAs seem like they are constantly put out.
