My team members believe in the mission of SJVC and have professional interests that complement my own. Everyone is friendly and professional and genuinely cares in the success of our students and each other.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
SJVC supports a healthy and professional work environment that allows employees to use their individual talents and support one to achieve student success. The leadership is approachable and cares about us as employees, personally and professionally.
What makes you most happy at work?
My position and my work align with my strengths, and I have freedom to set personal goals and determine how best achieve objectives. I am also by co-workers who take their positions seriously and are open to collaboration.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
SJVC provides a balance in its compensation package that shows it values the employees that choose to work here. The pay is competitive, and the time off/health benefits support a good work/life balance. SJVC also provides college and campus level perks that engage and appreciate employees.

The leadership team at SJVC makes sure to connect with employees at the campus level and demonstrate sincere care about them as both professionals and people. They are consistent in communicating interest in both our job performance and service to students, as well as our growth in our positions.
