What are some of the best things about your team?

Most are very knowledgeable about our industry. Many of us has worked together prior to working hear. We listen and respect one another. We are friends outside of the work envirnment.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It's not just the money, they say they are concerned to hear our side, but when it's time to make the necessary change. They completely ignore our leaders. Talk is cheap.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

They hired the right kind of instructors. We know our subjects, and we know what we are doing. And we all agree that the Administrators don't know and don't want to know.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team pretends to care about our department but has not taken one of our suggestions seriously. They say they care about diversity, but has been silent regarding many of the social issues currently happening. Their silence says it all. They have not returned many of my emails.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The whole culture has to change. Top brass has to be more open to the changes that are going on in our industry. When money is the bottom line and passing a student instead of helping them learn what they need to learn to work in the industry, it's a bad environment.
