Alexander Bo Cumbo — Senior VP & Chief Commercial Officer at Sarepta Therapeutics

Mr. Alexander Bo Cumbo has been Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. since June 8, 2017. Mr. Cumbo served as Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Development at Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. since October 1, 2016 until June 8, 2017. Mr. Cumbo served as the Head of Commercial and Vice President at Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. until November 24, 2016 and served as its Vice President of Global Commercial Development since January 2013. Mr. Cumbo joined Sarepta in January 2013. From June 2010 to January 2013, Mr. Cumbo worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Treatment Education for the launch of Incivek, one of the most successful drug launches in the history of U.S. pharmaceuticals. Prior to working at Vertex, he worked for Gilead Sciences for nine years in multiple commercial roles supporting the HIV, HBV and Cardiovascular franchises. Mr. Cumbo has experience in sales, marketing, national accounts, federal accounts, treatment education and commercial strategy, as well as in building effective teams for successful competitive launches. He started his career at GSK and has over twenty years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience, with over ten specialty competitive launches during his career. He serves as a Board Member of Clinical Supplies Management, Inc. Mr. Cumbo received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Auburn University.
