Executive Bio
Ms. Judith Ann Johansen, J.D. has been a Director at Schnitzer Steel from January 2006. Ms. Johansen served as President of Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego from July 2008 to September 1, 2013. From December 2001 through March 2006, Ms. Johansen was President and Chief Executive Officer of PacifiCorp and served as its Executive Vice President of Regulation and External Affairs from December 2000 to December 2001. She served as a Board Member of Scottish Power, PLC. Additionally, Ms. Johansen served as Chief Executive Officer and administrator for Bonneville Power Administration from 1998 to 2000. Ms. Johansen serves on the Board of Idaho Power, IdaCorp, Kaiser Permanente Health Plans and Hospitals, Roseburg Forest Group, Pacific Continental Corp, Pacific Continental Corp and Hood River Distillers. She is also a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and past chair of the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. Ms. Johansen served as Director for the Portland branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Oregon Business Council and Bank of the Cascades, and was a Trustee of Law at Lewis and Clark College. She served as an Oregon governor's appointee to the Port of Portland Commission and Chair and Trustee for Lewis and Clark College. Ms. Johansen earned her B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University and her J.D. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.
