David Arroyo — Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Scripps Networks Interactive

Mr. David Arroyo has been Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. (alternate name, Scripps Networks Inc.) since February 23, 2016. Mr. Arroyo leads a team of attorneys and administrative staff with responsibility for legal matters in support of the following worldwide functions: litigation, ethics and compliance, intellectual property, data security and privacy, ratings research, human resources and real estate and bankruptcy. In addition, he oversees internal audit and the accounting professionals who test the design and operating effectiveness of financial controls. He served as Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs & Internal Audit at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. from February 2014 to February 23, 2016 and served as its Vice President of Legal Affairs from November 2007 to February 2014 and its Member of the legal department its litigation matters. Before joining Scripps, Mr. Arroyo practiced as a trial lawyer at a global law firm and early in his career he clerked for a federal judge. While at Michigan Law School, he served as an associate and contributing editor of the Michigan Law Review. He served as chairman of the board of LatinoJustice, formerly known as the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, a 40-year-old civil rights and education organization. He has been a Director of Corporation For Public Broadcasting since September 2014. He has been recognized by CableFAX as one of the '100 Most Influential Minorities in Cable' from 2014 to 2015), by the Imagen Foundation as among the 'Most Powerful and Influential Hispanics in Entertainment' from 2012 to 2015 and by the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications with its 'Luminary Award' in 2010. Mr. Arroyo is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Duke University.
